Do you risk it and hope that they are the kind of company that sees past physical appearance and employs the right person for the job regardless of looks, or do you bow to conformity, lop it off and never know if they would have employed you with the hair anyway? Personally, I would keep it, and imagine the look on your father's face when you walk in after the interview, long hair still intact and announce you got the job! Good luck.
