This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast level 1 Why is it so hard for me to find a job if there are vacancies? level 2 Because you don't want to work for peanuts. Excuse for companies to say there are no good applicants instead of offering competitive pay. Now they can try to get some TFWs level 2 No one wants to train. They want someone who already knows the job. level 2 Because people aren't filling the right jobs. If we need, say 20, 000 nurses, then 20, 000 IT workers moving to Canada won't solve it. level 1 I need 10 000 employees for a highway project I'm proposing. I can only afford to pay about $5. 00 per hour. It's a real shame I'll need to talk to my MP and get some waiver to go overseas to get those people. level 2 Or pass the good 'ol right to work bill! level 2 Do you talk like this to your other partners? "I'd like to pay you for the cement, it's just I can only afford about 10 bucks for this big slab over here". level 2 Just a rporate Canada as tracked and reported by Statistics Canada is sitting on as of the end of March $950 billion they cannot find a use are those who can afford to pay more.

level 1 That's because employers want PhDs at the price of high-scool graduates. level 2 Back east they want CS graduates for public sector jobs, with good benefits, but 1/3 of what you'd make elsewhere. Seriously $51k for bilingual CS Masters.

Thank you for your answer. If applying for a job is difficult (which I dont mind if it's promising), then what do you think the best way to go to Canada to work and live there? Any links i can read about the subject? What do people do to get accepted to live there? I've seen many unskilled non canadian non english/ french speakears getting accepted to stay there, I dont understand how? Where they all applying as refugees? I also heard that Canada's government is interested in welcoming couples. Any programs/ websites i can read about this particular subject? We are 29F and 32M and so eager to travel there. I know being eager doesnt mean they can welcome us. So we're trying to find a way:)

level 1 Where are these jobs then? And yes, I know these are the bullshit ones they put out with ridiculous requirements and shit pay so they can later throw their hands up, say, "Uh oh can't find anyone! " so they can then hire a TFW and pay them a shit wage, thus causing decades of wage stagnation.
